Chaos, or Chance, is what animates the universe: there is no way to exactly predict the future.
Reasonable predictions can be made but cannot be considered certain until they are verified.
There is no reason in Chaos: everything that happened might not have happened and everything that did not happen might have happened.
Causality and relations between events do exist but can only be seen retrospectively.
